We recently completed a stylish house extension in Leeds, West Yorkshire for our clients, Rhonda and Martin.
The couple wanted a larger kitchen with added living space for relaxing, entertaining and dining. Designed by Leeds-based Architect, Studio-J, the space comprises a generous kitchen-diner and living area for comfy sofas and a TV. Roof lights brighten the room and patio doors lead out to paving by the Feathered Edge team, and the garden beyond.
This building project is a prime example of how an extension to create additional space in your home can deliver better value than moving to a bigger property in the same area. Martin Pearlman comments; “we had outgrown our house but the cost of moving was simply too high, so we had been considering an extension for quite a long time.”
When the time came, Martin tells us that Feathered Edge were his natural first port of call.
Similarly to many Feathered Edge clients, Martin explained that the actual process of getting the construction work done was quite daunting due to the unavoidable mess and upheaval that comes along with it. “The Feathered Edge team were all very polite and considerate. They cleaned up after themselves, which was a huge weight off our minds. Adam also managed the project very well; he kept us updated throughout so that we always knew what was done and what to expect.”
The finished extension houses a larger kitchen and living area. New patio doors provide a view out to the garden and are complemented by skylights to let natural light flood the new space.
